About Your Acupuncturist

Josh Whiteley, RN, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and registered nurse based in Tucson, Arizona, with over 16 years of clinical experience. He specializes in treating pain, nerve conditions, and complex cases using an integrative approach that blends Eastern and Western medicine.

His treatments combine acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Ayurvedic principles with modern techniques such as electroacupuncture, dry needling, trigger point injections, and acupuncture injection therapy.

Josh works with a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, acute injuries, sciatica, anxiety, depression, women’s health concerns, and difficult-to-diagnose issues that haven’t responded to other treatments.

He earned his Master’s degree in Acupuncture from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado, completed Ayurvedic studies at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, and received his nursing education from Pima Community College in Tucson. His background includes experience in emergency medicine and hospice/palliative care, giving him a broad and practical understanding of patient care. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Outside the clinic, Josh enjoys exploring the desert, road trips, yoga, live music, and studying Vedic astrology. His work is centered on helping patients find lasting relief by bridging traditional healing systems with modern clinical care.
