Josh Whiteley, RN, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and registered nurse in Tucson, Arizona, with over 16 years of clinical experience. His practice focuses on pain, orthopedic conditions, nerve-related symptoms, headaches, and complex cases that haven’t responded well to conventional treatment alone.
Josh takes an integrative approach that combines traditional acupuncture and Chinese medicine with modern orthopedic and needling techniques, including electroacupuncture, dry needling, cupping, and regenerative medicine.
He commonly treats neck and shoulder pain, low back pain and sciatica, headaches and migraines, sports and overuse injuries, arthritis, neuropathy, tendon problems, and other persistent musculoskeletal conditions. Rather than relying on a single technique, treatment is tailored to the individual and may combine several approaches based on the underlying tissues, movement patterns, symptoms, and overall health.
Josh earned his Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado, completed Ayurvedic studies at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, and received his nursing education from Pima Community College in Tucson.
Before focusing full-time on acupuncture and integrative medicine, Josh worked as a registered nurse in emergency medicine and hospice/palliative care. That background continues to shape his practical, patient-centered approach and his ability to look at health problems from both conventional and traditional perspectives. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Outside the clinic, Josh enjoys exploring the desert, road trips, yoga, live music, and studying Vedic astrology.
